By most, this would be considerred great news. Arizer is the maker of the popular V-Tower and the Extreme Q desktop vaporizers. Making a vape like the Solo shows they mean business.

The Solo uses a convection style heating system. Unlike most vapes that have a heating chamber where you place the herbs, the Solo uses its glass stem as a loading dock. You simply pop the stem into the vape and your ready to go. The glass stem is used as a mouthpeice therefore the taste of the herb is pure with no flavor of plastic or rubber. This means you can comfortably vape at the highest temperature level without worrying the mouthpiece or vapor will be too hot. The dry herb should be grinded well but not too fine. Since the herb is loaded into the stem, herb too finely grinded or dusty will have a tough time staying in. If everything is done correctly, your vaping session will be incredible. The Arizer Solo vape is very sturdy and has easily beat the drop test. The test was performed without the stem/mouthpiece as this part is glass and will not likely withstand a drop.

Temperature Controls:

The Solo has 7 different settings for temperature. There are many options therefore there is no need for a screen with a temperature regulator. The first level is 50°C / 122°F but we highly doubt this level will be used. The 2nd option is 185°C / 365°F. This option is great for herbs with a very low level of moisture. Level three is 190°C / 374°F and four is 195°C / 383°F. These two are great for fresh herbs. For herbs with a very high level of moisture, setting 5 (200°C / 393°F) and setting 6 (205°C / 401°F) should be attempted. Often, new vapers will use the highest setting because they want thick vapor mixed in with a little bit of smoke. This would be level seven heating at 210°C / 410°F.
